1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Sown Echoes (回聲種子, hereinafter referred to as "this App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this App.
2. Description of Service
Sown Echoes is an iOS application that allows users to:
- Record personal thoughts, values, and life experiences via text or voice
- Explore self-understanding through structured questionnaires
- Analyze personal values and persona traits using on-device AI
- Converse with a personal digital twin (Echo)
- Optionally contribute writings to a public knowledge library under CC-BY-SA 4.0 license
All core features operate on-device and require no account or internet connection.
3. Cryptographic Identity
This App uses a BIP-39 mnemonic phrase as your identity mechanism instead of traditional accounts.
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your mnemonic phrase
- Loss of your mnemonic phrase means loss of your identity and signed public contributions
- We cannot reset or recover your mnemonic phrase
4. Public Contributions
If you choose to publish your writings to the Human Wisdom Library:
- Your work is published under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 International License
- Users with established identities may withdraw their contributions
- Anonymous contributions (without identity) cannot be withdrawn
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is automatically stripped before publication
- You warrant that the content you submit is original or you have the right to share it
- Your contributions may be used for AI model training — see the published dataset at huggingface.co/datasets/qqder/memelives-open-contributions
- You must be at least 16 years old to make public contributions
5. Prohibited Conduct
When using this App, you agree not to:
- Publish illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Intentionally submit false or misleading information to the public library
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App or CloudKit services
- Use this App for any activity that violates local laws
6. Intellectual Property
- You retain all rights to the content you create
- Public contributions are licensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0
- The App's code and design are owned by the developer
- Whisper models are provided by OpenAI under their respective license terms
7. Disclaimer
This App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties.
- AI analysis results are for reference only and do not constitute professional advice
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of speech-to-text transcription
- We are not responsible for data loss (please safeguard your mnemonic phrase)
- PII removal is best-effort and not guaranteed to be perfect
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this App.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated through app updates. Continued use of this App constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

3. 密碼學身份
本應用使用 BIP-39 密碼學助記詞作為身份識別機制，不使用傳統帳號系統。
- 您有責任安全保管您的助記詞
- 助記詞遺失將無法恢復您的身份和已簽署的公開貢獻
- 我們無法為您重置或恢復助記詞

若您選擇刻印作品至 Human Wisdom Library：

使用本應用時，您同意不得：
- 發布違法、有害、威脅、辱罵或歧視性內容
- 冒充他人或虛假陳述身份

- 嘗試干擾或破壞應用程式或 CloudKit 服務
- 利用本應用進行任何違反當地法律的活動

- 您保留您所創建內容的所有權利

- 應用程式本身的程式碼和設計為開發者所有
- Whisper 模型由 OpenAI 提供，受其授權條款約束

我們保留隨時修改本服務條款的權利。重大變更將透過應用程式更新通知使用者。持續使用本應用即表示接受修改後的條款。
10. 適用法律
本服務條款受中華民國（臺灣）法律管轄並依其解釋。
