Sown Echoes — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Sown Echoes, developed by QQder339, is an app that lets you actively capture your thoughts, values, and life experiences, building a digital legacy through a BIP-39 cryptographic identity.

In short: We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to external servers. Your thoughts and records belong only to you.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

This app does not collect:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers
  • Usage analytics or tracking data

3. Locally Stored Data
#

The following data is stored strictly on your device and never transmitted externally:

  • BIP-39 Mnemonic: Your Meme ID identity key (stored locally only; please back it up yourself)
  • Voice and Text Records: All thoughts, values, and stories entered through the questionnaire
  • Speech-to-Text Results: Whisper on-device recognition results stored locally
  • User Settings: All preference settings

4. Offline AI Features
#

All AI features run entirely on-device without network connection:

  • Speech-to-Text (Whisper): Uses local Whisper model; all speech recognition runs on-device; voice data is never transmitted to any server
  • BIP-39 Identity Generation: Mnemonics generated locally on-device, without relying on any external service

AI models require a one-time download before first use (user-initiated); all features work offline after download.

5. Data Export
#

If you choose to export data for AI training contribution, the export action is entirely under your control. The app does not automatically upload or share any content.

6. Third-Party Services
#

This app does NOT use any third-party analytics or advertising frameworks (No Google Analytics, No Facebook SDK, No Ads).

7. Network Access
#

Network access is restricted to:

  • Downloading AI Models (Optional, one-time): Only connects when you explicitly choose to download Whisper model resources
  • User-Initiated Data Export: Only when you explicitly choose to export
  • External Links: Opens browser when tapping relevant links

Other than the above, the app does not initiate network connections.
